RGC (then MnS) supported the detailed design of 27 kilometres of road through urban areas. Working with local Piki Surveys, historic data was collated, the existing system identified and benchmarks located and assessed. A GNSS network was established, topographic mapping completed and concreted control beacons placed every 1km. The local system was tied into and all control referenced to the local  datum. RGC provided topographic mapping of each location showing all relevant details; vertical alignment details and survey data.  Martin de Beer also partook in land registration/cadastral discussions with the Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment, MNRE.
