Supported the detailed design of 236 kilometres of road through urban and rural areas. Historic data was collated, existing system identified and due to proximity to the coast, all tidal data and benchmarks located and assessed. A GPS network established, topographic mapping done and concreted control beacons placed every 1km. The Arc 1960 Datum UTM37 grid system was tied into and all height control referenced to the local benchmark datum.
